More Music Messengers

Photobucket

These are the bags I've been working on for the last few days. They were ordered at the bag bash by a woman who I think is a music teacher of some kind. Her teenage daughter is very musically inclined as well so she got one for her and her daughter. She wanted a music note instead of a flower for hers. I think it turned out prett well!

Photobucket

I was a bit skeptical about a short strap for a mini-messenger and then a black strap at that but I think it turned out really cute! You know teenagers, they dare to be different!! I was say that was me as well :).

Stamping Bag

Photobucket

Photobucket

This Large Tote was made to carry CTMH stamp sets and ink pads. There are 3 pockets on the one side for ink pads and then 2 pockets on the other side for whatever. I threw my stuff in it so you all could see how it is to be used. This bag was ordered by my good friend Missy who wanted me to match the fabric with a bag she already uses for all scrapbooking stuff. I'm a bit nervous about this print, it's growing on me but will grow on Missy? We will see!!

This is the 5th bag done out of the 12 ordered from the bag bash. 7 more to go!!

City Girl Diaper Bag

Photobucket

This Diaper Bag isn't necessarily for a city girl or anything but the fabric I used is called City Girl and because I couldn't come up with a better title, that's what I'm calling this post. This bag is for one of my very good friends that had a baby boy last week. I love how this bag has the boy colors but a somewhat girly print that's cute for the mom. I'm hoping she likes it, I kind of think this fabric is either one that you love or hate. I love it but will she??

Patchwork Tote Bag

This Tote was one of the orders from the Bag Bash. I love the flower on the flap with the fabric covered button!!

The Purple Tulip

Photobucket

This bag was ordered a few weeks ago and was needed by the 21st so I got it done in the nick of time. The pocket wallet is a cute addition to this bag. I haven't made a Tulip Bag in quite a while, I almost forgot how to make them!!

This Weeks Bags

Photobucket

This Diaper Bag was ordered before the Quilted Bag Bash by a lady who was invited to the Bag Bash but couldn't come. So the bag still goes towards her Bash. Diaper Bags with this fabric sure have become popular!!

These two Flare Bags are the first I've finished out of the orders from the Bag Bash. I wanted to get more done this week but was unable because I was watching my friend's little girl off and on for a few days earlier in the week. Two of my very dear friends have had baby boys this week!! So I've been busy visiting and babysitting and yada yada yada. The babies are both the cutest little things and it makes me want to have a little boy so much more than I already do, if it's even possible!!

New Styles

These bags were sold at the Bag Bash today. It turns out 3 of them were new styles and the one was a new technique.

This Tote has the fabric arranged like bricks. Just trying to change things up a bit.

My first Quilted Bag Bash...

Was a complete success!! I owe a huge thank you to Stacee Harris for being willing to have the first one. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Only 4 cash and carry bags sold and a few pocket wallets and checkbook covers but I got 10 orders!! The total show sales were $700!! That was a great way to start off doing the Quilted Bag Bashes (I don't like that word, bashes). I even got one booking for Novemeber. Now I am booked for the next 4 months! God is good! I've been praying that I could "expand" my business and He came through!! I look forward the next Quilted Bag Bash!

Fundraiser for Janessa

I just wanted to share a fundraiser that is going on for my 20 month old niece Janessa. She was born with Down Syndrome and has recently been diagnosed with MDS (pre-leukemia). She just finished her 2nd round of chemo and has 5 more rounds to go. She is the youngest of five children, the oldest not yet 12. My brother Jamie and his wife Julie are really trusting that the Lord will bring them through all this which I know He will but you can imagine the financial strain this situation would have on them. So my sister Korin of Sweet N Sassy Stamps is donating 50% of each stamp set sold from now until July 31st (not including Sarah Kay or Rachel Ann Miller). My friend Jeanna is doing an Avon fundraiser until July 31st as well. If you are interested in helping the Joseph family in that way, please contact Jeanna at j_hoppes_22@hotmail.com. I know my brother and family would appreciate your prayers so if you could even do that, I know it will help.

I will be doing a bag fundraiser in August sometime. So be sure to check back for details on that. If you would like to know more about Janessa's story, check out Caring Bridge.

Thanks!!

More Checkbook Covers

Photobucket

This is what I accomplished yesterday, well part of it. I started a bag, too, but can't you all that yet. I made these 5 checkbook covers for the bag bash on Saturday. I'm hoping to make a few more this week but I'm not sure if I will get it done.

Pocket Wallets and More Pocket Wallets

Photobucket

I made all these pocket wallets today. I think I'm pocket walleted out, at least for a few days anyway. I'm taking all 8 of these to the Quilted Bag Bash that I'm doing one week from today. I can't believe how close it is already!! The nerves will be setting in this week like crazy!!

Matching Messengers

Photobucket

Photobucket

These messengers are going to Scotland. Yes, you read correctly. A lady in Scotland found me because my wonderful sister posted my information on her blog (http://www.sweetnsassystamps.blogspot.com/). The mini-messenger is for the woman's 5 year old daughter. How cute is that, mom and daughter with matching bags! Amanda (the purchaser of these bags) called my flowers "Casey daisies", I may have to use that. She also pointed out that my having bags out of the country makes me an International Designer. I like the sound of that!! Oh, fyi, these bags are my new fav!! I love them!
